Since April 2007 we are living at our monumental Frisian "head-neck-body" farmhouse built in 1860 in the hamlet Lutje Lollum near the city of Franeker, one of the Eleven Cities with e.g. the famous Eise Eisinga Planetarium.. (*Head-Neck-Body farmhouse: is a typical Frisian farmhouse, it consists of a residence (the head), the kitchen (the neck), that have been placed in front of a big shed (the body).) From this time on we are busy with renovating the farmhouse in it´s own old style. First the livinghouse ( the head) after that the kitchen and the hallway ( the Neck) and now the stables ( the body). Not so long ago the cows were still there. In those stables we have realized 3 - double rooms all with a separate bathroom and as well a cosy livingroom/ breakfast area. In the "Lyts Bûthus" ( the cowstable) a kitchen and a familyroom. From 01-01-2011 we also have a seperate Childrens Guestroom. Our intention is that the carachter of the old farmhouse has to be kept so that any guests will get the feeling that they are staying at a farm. As we say in Dutch the "Ot and Sien" feeling from long ago. Our horses, sheep, chickens etc, will help to give you that feeling. Two small stables are still in the old style and here you will find some nice sitting areas, a reading corner and a childrens corner . The old milk line, drinkers and feet chute are still present. In the country and still close to the city you will be able to relax and enjoy your holidays with us, which will start every morning with a delicious breakfast with all fresh products.
